The photos below were taken at various stages in my travels, from 1976 until the present. More will be posted in due course. Scroll down for interviews and a filmed reading from Killoyle.

Portrait of the artist as a young Brahms. Edinburgh, Scotland, 1976.

Trinity College, Dublin, Ireland, 1982. The one and only university I ever really wanted to attend. But didn't.

Dordogne, France, July 1989. Amid the sunflowers, in anticipation of celebrating the 200th anniversary of the French Revolution.

Paris, 1989. Just after visiting Chopin and Balzac, across the street from here.

Vienna, Austria, March, 2000. I was there for the "Transcendenz" conference on religion in literature. Not quite sure why; I suspect somebody took Wolfetone Grey's mock religion in Killoyle too seriously. But a paid trip to Vienna's a paid trip to Vienna.

Geneva, Switzerland. The house I grew up in. It's gone now, torn down to make way for the offices of another of Geneva's ever-expanding NGOs or UN agencies. It was a wonderful house, made for memories, and now made only of them.

Me and Harry Rowohlt at a bilingual reading from Killoyle. Munich, Germany, January 2000. Drinks were provided by the management.

Boylan and Rowohlt at the "Transcendenz" conference in Vienna, March 2000, drinks flowing freely--and free. Many had already been consumed when this photo was taken, as is perhaps obvious from Harry's transcendent expression.

Me, Harry Rowohlt, and Wolfgang Packhaeuser at a reading from Killoyle. Frankfurt/Main, Germany, March 2008. Drinks were again on the house. (The house closed soon afterward, possibly as a result of such profligate generosity.)

Self and better half, Paris, 2008.

My pilgrimage to the grave of the Nabokovs, Clarens, Switzerland, June 2009. Dmitri Nabokov's little chateau can be seen peeping through the trees.

RB and Anthony Cronin, Vienna, July 2011.
